We've tried various methods of cleaning natural slate in front of and around our fireplace, but for the first time we're really enjoying the look of our fireplace with this product. We cleaned the slate first, then applied the wax with a microfiber cloth (use a cheap or old cloth, you definitely don't want to reuse it) and finally rubbed in the wax with a strong cleaning brush. you can see the difference immediately. We love the smell too. It's not very intense and it's pleasant in everything. We highly recommend this product and regret not wasting time on other products we have tried before.
