This review was posted on 06/08/2019. I recently put a Ryzen 7 2700x processor on one of these boards for a customer. Installation was easy and straightforward. The BIOS is clean and easy to manage, and it can be updated from the BIOS over the web, which is nice. The performance of this board was very stable when running. However, it died off completely after just a few weeks of use. The client I built it for isn't a renovation guy so I can't believe he made anything other than regular games on it. After a few hours of gameplay, the client performed a normal Windows shutdown and got to work. . When he got back from work, he pressed the power button to play and nothing happened. The board was completely dead. He sent the assembly back to me and I tested the board with 2 different working power supplies and it got no power. I also tested his PSU with a PSU tester and another motherboard and had no trouble getting power from that PSU. Reinstall Windows. After installing the new board everything seems fine at the moment. Having been building systems for over 12 years I have never had a motherboard fail. I think I'm just lucky. This board broke that series. I'm not going to badmouth the Asus name or this board (at least not yet) because I know that when dealing with electronics, sometimes you just get a bad product off the assembly line. It happens. I'm also not a disgruntled/ruined gamer who gets mad because their computer is dead, so ruining a company with a bad rating isn't my style. I'm doing an RMA for the first board and so far the only thing I didn't like about Asus tech support is that the woman I spoke to spoke very little English. So far the second board is working fine (installed just today - 08/06/2019) and the first is being sent back for replacement. Overall I like Asus products and haven't had any issues with other products so far. Let's hope the second board holds up and doesn't cause any further problems.
