It's a bit deceptive. The bulbs on this one are maybe 2mm (if at all). I thought they would be a bit bigger because. I love how they are on wire so they can be placed in literally any shape you want, even if you want to form them into a ball. The clips are nice and crisp but feel huge in terms of light and wires. I bought one that uses a USB connection as we have tons of these plug adapters around our house and I don't have to worry about waste and battery costs. Overall, I'm not disappointed with the purchase, but I'm not thrilled either. My daughter loves them and that's the whole point.
