In short: - Function: 9/10 - very warm without losing articulation - Fit: 9/10 - be precise; When your hand is 8.5 inches from the knuckles, the Large feels like another layer of skin: 10/10 - there's nothing cooler than quality distressed leather gloves, and they get it right. out of the bag. Long story short: I measured both hands (probably 3 times each) to be exactly 8.5 inches, so I went with the large one. The gloves arrived in two days and I'm so glad I didn't fit. Everything is orderly and almost as if put on my hand. While they're so tight that it's likely to get uncomfortable after 8 hours straight, I think other parts of the body will complain a lot louder up to that point. Oh, and let's not neglect the fact that upon arrival these gloves will remind you of those comfortable, durable, well-worn leather gloves that you see on other people, and even if you know they cost a fortune you think still, "Dude, I gotta find something like this." I was fortunate enough to have a great opportunity to do a stress test the following weekend, driving 80 miles in 40-degree headwinds and driving on a freeway with no fairing .I was layering clothes all over and when I started getting goosebumps at the seams of my jacket and pants my hands were still roasted allowing me to keep pushing.Towards the end of the day the only parts of my body that needed the could have been missing all day, my head, my legs and my arms which is saying a lot considering all those parts were on the front line the entire time I had no I never had any problems with the gauge, shifting or front braking. Even though the gloves fit so snugly, I was still able to brake with "two fingers" and "middle fingers" throughout the ride without feeling like I was stretching or struggling with the material. That was important for confidence as I was riding an unfamiliar bike at a consistently high speed on unfamiliar terrain. I checked it before and after the ride and all the stitching still looks good, the bug carcasses wipe right off the rubber knuckles and the Velcro wrists don't fray or come loose. I haven't tested the touchscreen fingertips, so I can't comment on their function, but I know they look solid and are tastefully integrated. Overall I think you'll be paying more for these than cheaper brands, but provided you've got the right size you should immediately see why this price is more than justified. Spend more now on a quality investment, or spend less now and more later when you need to replace those crappy disposables you foolishly chose to buy. A big thank you to Steve and Zach for developing a reputable product and having the courage to back it with an outstanding warranty that I will likely never need.
