A Key Ingredient

We're glad the developers at Paula's Choice list all the ingredients here, as "86% agree skin tone looks more even" - not what the company calls a "clinical" study designated. As explained, the company relies on a "consumer self-assessment" that can only be considered reliable in a blind study. This repairing serum is funnily packaged, though, and includes the usual humectants like glycerin along with a decent B vitamin. One preservative at the end of the ingredients list to note: phenoxyethanol. Eczema and severe allergic reactions. Advocates of safe cosmetics often strongly discourage the use of phenoxyethanol in infants, including those who are breastfeeding. Mothers and grandmothers love to hug their grandchildren and studies show that this preservative should be avoided in the youngest children. Those who want to learn more and make the best personal decision regarding this ingredient may consider searching "phenoxyethanol safety” online. Note that several brands of cosmetics contain phenoxyethanol. Reactions are rare.
