Review on ⏲️ Red BALDR Kitchen Timer for Precise Timing by Jamie Brown

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well. Looks great. Strong magnet.

Simple and functional. Requires no batteries. The clean, modern style looks good apart from the unnecessary and poorly placed arrow on the rim. Packed in a beautiful corrugated box. The magnet is strong enough to hold the fridge in place while the clockwork turns (no need for two hands). It beeps four times per second. The tick is loud enough to be heard 20 feet away in a quiet room. Not as loud as my $1 watch from a Swedish company. Choosing a time for quiet activities that require focus can be annoying. Old-fashioned bell sound. Not outrageously loud, but loud enough if you don't have headphones and are in the same room. The length of the ring depends on how far you wind the timer. If you scroll clockwise to 0 before setting the time then, as the instructions say, "the timer makes clear tones"! Otherwise, you will get a short, weak ring, or no ring at all. A full hour is not possible because the wheel spins anti-clockwise for a few minutes after winding (see video). Not very accurate for very short periods of time, but close enough for two minutes or more. If accuracy is important to you, get a digital timer.
