Shimano RD-6800 pulley on RD-5700 (105)

This review is for the RD-6800 pulley set I ordered. I have an RD-5700 (105) SS on a Speck Tarmac SL2 10 Speedx2. This kit has sealed bearings on both pulleys. 5700 no. So if you try to turn the pulley sideways there is no slip. I have measured the thickness of the new pulleys with vernier calipers compared to the 5700, they appear to be narrower. This kit is .004" narrower than the RD5700 105. No instructions are included with the kit. To determine which pulley is the (lower) guide pulley, one of the pulleys must have splines. The upper pulley has no key on the teeth. The arrows go in the direction of the chain when pedaling. Easy enough to install. REAR WHEEL removed, make one pulley at a time, loosen both pulley bolts, remove the bottom one then the top one, or whatever works for someone else. After a few rides, the difference between the RD 5700 pulley and this kit changes. more accurate. I can't describe it, but it's more instantaneous. So definitely a good upgrade. Buy recommendation. Better than buying an RD-6700 rear derailleur. Hooray!
