It came fast! on Parts & Components

Thanks to Larry's Bike Shop for the quick replacement of the pulleys. Installed and the bike is back on the road enjoying the beautiful November weather! For Dura-Ace parts, the price was real too!

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Easy to assemble.: Sport

LBS and I somehow missed replacing these pulleys, they lasted about 6 years and 40,000 km and were completely worn out but still worked. The new pulleys were easy to fit and shift much better now.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Some little things

Shimano quality, Shimano fit.

I bought a set of "standard replacement" pulleys to replace a totally worn out pulley set on my Shimano XTR rear derailleur. They ended in failure. These Shimano pulleys fitted perfectly and of course were perfect. My advice - pay the extra money, buy it and solve the problem once and correctly. In the end it will be cheaper.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Doubtful

Good pulleys at the right price

Bought these to rebuild an old 1993 Shimano Deore XT and 1997 RSX (long cage). They are designed for 9 speed chains (8mm cage hole) but have 4 stainless steel washers for $0.90. from a local hardware store that maintains a 10mm gap between cages. They also have 11 teeth. instead of 10T, but that's fine as it makes shifting crisper (upper roll) and increases the derailleur's ability to flip (lower roll). The package has a ceramic sealed pulley and a sealed ball bearing pulley.

Pros
  • Excellent overall specs
Cons
  • Some bugs

High quality parts to replace worn out pulleys.

This is the only good product when you want to replace worn out pulleys. This is a genuine Shimano OEM part. The installation process was easy after watching a few videos on how to do it. I greased them a bit on the inside and they turn very easily. I recommend anyone looking to replace their pulleys to purchase this OEM part as it will work with your derailleur and will also last longer than any other aftermarket part.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I really don't like it everything is fine

Shimano RD-6800 pulley on RD-5700 (105)

This review is for the RD-6800 pulley set I ordered. I have an RD-5700 (105) SS on a Speck Tarmac SL2 10 Speedx2. This kit has sealed bearings on both pulleys. 5700 no. So if you try to turn the pulley sideways there is no slip. I have measured the thickness of the new pulleys with vernier calipers compared to the 5700, they appear to be narrower. This kit is .004" narrower than the RD5700 105. No instructions are included with the kit. To determine which pulley is the (lower) guide pulley, one
