Burns out after 2A batteries a day

Bought these to add an extra controller as I will be playing Super Mario with my kids for 15-20 minutes after their HW is done to keep them motivated . administration on these controllers; At 18:30 I will put in 2 new A batteries and the next day I have to put in 2 new A batteries again.
