UPDATED REVIEW: Have purchased this vacuum cleaner many times. I bought the last one at the end of March last year. This vacuum looked like a slightly newer model and while the suction power was better than some vacuums, it was much less than usual. The suction power decreased more and more over time until it no longer picked up everything (even with regular brushing including depilation from below). The cord sometimes became so hot that it could burn if touched during use. Then a few months ago I started having problems with the electric buttons. The rotating brush sometimes turned on, sometimes not. A few weeks ago it stopped working at all. It's been less than a year so I'm a little disappointed that it's time to buy a new vacuum and this one is now in the bin. Maybe I just lapsed this time, unfortunately I don't think I'll buy the same vacuum cleaner again because maybe the latest model has a problem. ----------- ----- -- -------------------------------- ---- OLD REVIEW: Best Vacuum Cleaner Ever! Whenever I buy a new vacuum cleaner, I give away the 1-2 year old vacuum cleaner to family or friends and they love it too! The design is very intuitive and very easy to use. I wanted something comfortable and pleasant to enhance the cleaning experience. This vacuum cleaner sucks 10 times more than any other vacuum cleaner I have ever used. Whenever I use other people's vacuums, I can't believe they survive on something that barely vacuums and takes forever to vacuum a room. This Hoover vacuum cleaner is powerful and gets the job done quickly. I will buy it for the next few years. By the way, I was very surprised to see other reviews about this vacuum cleaner. This has to be one of the top rated Revain vacuums. When I first bought this $99 vacuum from the store I thought I was getting a huge discount. When I bought this vacuum cleaner and noticed how well it works. I've read the entire manual to make sure I'm taking good care of it (which isn't hard). But I was surprised when my new roommate had the same vacuum cleaner and it was just awful. Several parts broke, it was completely clogged with dust and the rollers got tangled in the hair. This is what happens when you don't get in the habit of emptying your vacuum. Even if you have long hair, vacuum damage is inevitable without proper care. I used to have long hair too and had to cut it off with curlers every few months or it might break - any vacuum cleaner does that. If you keep your vacuum cleaner clean and cared for, it will serve you for many years. Incidentally, this vacuum is so powerful that I used it to pack a 10-inch king-size California mattress down to half its size. Ever tried vacuuming a thick mattress, you would know how incredible it is.
