I had three outdoor porch spotlights wedged into the ceiling glass at 11 feet. The suction extension could not unscrew the old bulbs. I measured the bulb width and it was 4.5 inches, which is exactly what this unit had. So I stood on the ladder and with the help of this suction cup, which fitted snugly, I unscrewed the bulb without much effort. I used a 1 inch outlet extender in each outlet and replaced all light bulbs with LED daylight bulbs. Now the sun still shines when I eat on my porch in the evening. This is a great invention.
