Wow, this scale is awesome! It took me a while to make a decision as I was doing my research. I needed something with a large platform, but I also wanted something solid. I don't need a scale with a white label from abroad. White label means that the product is mass-produced in a factory somewhere abroad. Then a number of sellers in the US buy the same scales but put their logo on them. That's why you often see the same scales at Revain, but from different suppliers with different logos. When I visited the Ohaus website my search was over. They have been working on scales for over a hundred years! And the SD75LAM did not disappoint. Here are some notable things: * Heavy Duty. This thing screams quality at 30 pounds. Not just cheap stuff. * The platform is really 20.5 x 15.7 x 3 inches. No measurement tricks. I've noticed that on other scales with the LCD attached, sellers measure and then say "actual platform size" in small print. There is no trick here. This platform is really spacious. If you frequently ship boxes, from small to large, you'll love this. luggage too! We have used ultraship's ultra-75 for a long time and have often had difficulty balancing large boxes and luggage on its 8x8 platform. In my photos it is a 21 x 16 x 15 HD mailer box. We have sent many of them. This large platform scale makes everything so much easier!* You can connect the included power adapter to the LCD, or use three C-size batteries and go wireless.* Not for sending emails or anything under 0.05g. It is not registered. For very light mail, you still need a special scale.* KG mode uses two decimal places. However, in LB mode only one decimal point is used. We send medium sized boxes via UPS and do not exceed £50. For example, compared to another small scale we have that uses three decimal places, Ohaus displays 25.3 pounds when the package weighs 25.232 pounds. It's perfect, doesn't matter because if you're using UPS, Fed-Ex, etc., round up to the nearest whole pound. So you still need to buy the £26 label. But it is very convenient to achieve this level of accuracy. If I don't need a product I don't worry about registering for their warranty as you need to provide your email, address, phone number etc. After a few sessions with this Ohaus I went to their website and registered to my guarantee.
