Originally bought for all the crazy cables from our TV. Some have huge plugs and I originally had to use multiple surge protectors to plug everything in since two of them took up three spaces. This was the solution to my apparent (although there was none) disorganization. If the plug is too big, I can just move the socket and use any port! Just one item, not three! I have to admit that all these WIRES are crazy. I also bought boxes to house the wires so it wouldn't be so ugly. I also bought one to organize the cords on my side of the bed in our bedroom - same problem, big plugs. (Why don't manufacturers take this into account when designing these fork shapes!) I LOVE THIS ARTICLE. I'm telling everyone about this and I might have to buy another one!
