So let me start by saying that all these reviews and the actual packaging are completely wrong. If you install as directed on the packaging and reviews you will have: 1. Metal hood to chassis with ZERO GAP.2. The latch closes on your hood and digs a hole.3. Have really bad carbide on a metal joint that has no formability at all. I'm pretty sure someone designed this hardware and it should use the original factory rubber and top clamp. They must be ported to new hardware to install correctly. Look at my photos and hood gaps (and all other photos posted), the hood is tilted towards the zero gap at the front. Once I took everything apart and reassembled with factory tires and VIOLA spacers! The mount was good, no metal on metal, back to a good spacing and a much more secure locking mechanism. Something was completely lost in translation from designer to manufacturer, instructions, etc. It's just wrong for some reason. In fact, the latch won't even fully lock if you install it without original parts, which can result in an unlocked condition due to a not fully latched condition AND a null in the hood-to-chassis connection if you hit a bump or something. Above is a solution for good product customization. I don't know why my photos are not here.
