I wear a female size 10 and a male size 8.5. I bought a medium one that fits BUT it ends at about 1/3 of my foot and doesn't extend 1/2 or 3/4 to my toes as shown in the picture. BENEFITS: Recommended by my doctor. good stabilization, looks good. No velcro to cling to anything. Plastic inserts on the ankle provide additional support. The laces stay tight and tie. DISADVANTAGES: The seam in which the bandage is wrapped around the leg is noticeable and uncomfortable even through thick socks. It got worse as the day went on because my foot, like most feet, swelled up a bit during the workday. The fabric is rough and prickly even in thick socks. THIS ARTICLE IS NOT RETURNABLE THROUGH PRIME, EVEN. The seam at the bottom is a real problem for me. I can feel it digging into my leg with every step. I am currently looking for an alternative. UPDATE: I contacted Amazon customer service to see if I could exchange for a different size instead of a refund. Although the medium size fits, I hope that the large size changes the position of the seam on my foot.
