Perfect! Five stars!

This ankle brace transformed my husband's crumbling ankle; his pain level is much lower and this provides more stability. And I cannot praise this seller enough; the first one i ordered was too small and they immediately answered my question to my satisfaction. Have already bought 2 more of them and give them (and the braces!) the highest recommendation.

Exactly what I needed - ankle braces

I wear a size 9M shoes which is between medium and large. I have one of each. Large, eyes quite close together. Wednesday was like lacing up a hockey skate. The eyes are further apart. I like Wednesday. Yes it's stiff but I need it to keep my ankle from falling out. Probably an old hockey injury. Anyway it works and runs 2.5 miles back and forth every day. Get one.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Only available in black

Excellent support and comfort.

Very good support and *comfortable*. The metal legs can be easily bent or removed at will as you improve. BUT I don't have a single pair of shoes or boots that would go with it. Worn at home, with slippers, which is very valuable in the initial phase of healing: these "little trips" to another room quickly add up. If I needed support for longer, I planned to buy an inexpensive pair of Payless shoes. Fortunately, I recovered quickly enough to use a lighter device. But it didn't come close inโ€ฆ

Runs small on the ankles

Although I measured my ankle and followed the sizing guide (I fell between sizes, went up one size) this ankle brace was too small for me . I have very small feet and minimal swelling, but I could use a large splint instead of a medium one. That being said the headband is well made and since it laces up I was able to get it to work. To make it more comfortable, I added minimal padding where the brace laces up the foot, perhaps at the narrowest point of the orthosis, and in the crook of theโ€ฆ

Cannot be used or returned

Bought this for my daughter who had a very bad sprain and needs to wear it for sports and training/performance. Tried McDavid first (in white) which she loves and I don't need to remind her to wear it. This one arrived on time, but she says it's an odd shape. The McDavid has an elastic strap on the underside of the tongue to keep it in place. It doesn't, so the tongue moves as you move, causing it to stick together. This makes it very uncomfortable to wear, even worse to move. This item isโ€ฆ

Non refundable! in Medical Articles and Equipment

I wear a female size 10 and a male size 8.5. I bought a medium one that fits BUT it ends at about 1/3 of my foot and doesn't extend 1/2 or 3/4 to my toes as shown in the picture. BENEFITS: Recommended by my doctor. good stabilization, looks good. No velcro to cling to anything. Plastic inserts on the ankle provide additional support. The laces stay tight and tie. DISADVANTAGES: The seam in which the bandage is wrapped around the leg is noticeable and uncomfortable even through thick socks. Itโ€ฆ

Does the job but is not very comfortable

I have sprained my ankle hundreds of times in my life. So much so that the ligaments in my ankle are quite loose and my ankle is very unstable. My doctor recommended this ankle brace when I sprained it the other day. I doubt he ever put it on and wore it because even wearing a full sock over the corset is quite uncomfortable to walk in for long periods of time. I've tried different lacing methods, different tensions, different socks, etc. Also, they are very bulky to carry in shoes. I played 18
