I bought this to stick 9mm to the bottom of a metal shelf which it does very well due to the incredibly strong magnet. In fact, it's so strong that when I accidentally got stuck in a corner, it took me five minutes and two screwdrivers to get it out. The real issue I had was the single screw hole attachment point and the plastic cover that comes off too easily. (The included double-sided tape must be a joke, right?) It needs two screw holes to keep it from turning, and it really needs to be completely encased in plastic so the lid never comes off. (I used E6000 E6000 237032 Craft Adhesive, 2 fl oz on magnet and lid to hold them in place and so far so good.)
