Well if you have a tiny car like mine (Chevrolet Spark) there really wasn't a good place to put it which shouldn't have been - a passenger. I was hoping to place it in the center front above the console but my car is too small for that. I connected it in the middle of the back and connected the back of the driver and passenger seats. So passengers on the back seat had legroom. My dog (13lb Pomchi) can still turn to look ahead and see where I'm going. She hasn't figured out how to jump in and out yet. However, given her nervousness in the car, that's GOOD. She stays where she is and doesn't bother me.
