They are very cute and my 5 year old daughter loves the way they look, they are perfect for her little ears. The problem is that the shank that goes through her ear is too long for children's earrings in my opinion, they are the same length as mine. But an even bigger problem is that they are crooked. In one of the earrings, the bar does not protrude directly beyond the front of the earring, but is angled upwards. On top of that the bars are too long making them too uncomfortable for our 5 year old. We have 5 pairs of earrings from this company and 3 pairs were perfect, 2 pairs (giraffe and elephant pairs) 1 earring was with this crooked version. If you have time to order and return and wait for a replacement when you receive a crooked pair (and can do free returns) then I would definitely recommend them! However, if you're buying them to send directly to the recipient of a gift, I wouldn't recommend them that highly.
