Review on Satechi GoMate Waterproof Smartphone Case Cell Phones & Accessories by Kevin Carey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Keeps my phone really dry

I really like this waterproof case. I can easily put my iPhone 6 in and out of this case. I use a thin case on my iPhone. I don't even have to take the case off to use it. If you are using a thick case on your iPhone, you may need to remove it from that case first. This GoMate case has a hole at the bottom. This is where you put your phone. It has a zipper that you just have to close well. It then has a flap that you lift and attach a velcro strap. There is a transparent camera window on the upper back. The clear vinyl used in this case is thick. I have no problem using my phone with this thick vinyl case. The only problem I have is accessing the buttons on the side of the phone. You cannot press these keys directly. You have to somehow squeeze the case to "press" these buttons. The strap/cord that comes with this bag is soft and doesn't irritate my neck. That's settled. I like that it's long enough to wear over my shoulder. I actually prefer to carry it over my shoulder because it relieves my neck. Before I risk getting my iPhone wet, I tested this GoMate case in a bucket of water. I put a paper towel in a case (instead of a phone) and dip it in the water. I even crushed it with a heavy object to keep it submerged. I left it there for about an hour. When I took the paper towel out of its wrapper, it was still dry. Now I don't have to worry about the next time I go kayaking and I take my phone with me when I do. Overall I think this is a great case for all outdoor activities. *I received a sample of the product in exchange for an honest review.
