You get what you pay for. With so many positive reviews I thought I had found real value. nope Long-staple Egyptian cotton sheets, my Aunt Fanny. I assume the seller had heard the words "long staple cotton" somewhere and knew they were a selling point, so he added them to draw attention. Out of the box the sheets are beautiful, soft and have a wonderful sheen. After a single wash, they have a rough, rough surface with a prickly, fluffy feel. The seam allowances are almost zero and the edges fray after one wash. I suspect the stitching will unravel in the next wash as most of the material ripped in the first wash. I can use sheets but I can never use pillowcases. They would comb my face to death. I really regret that I ordered two sets of these things. Also, it would be really cool if the tags even talked about where these things were made. Because they don't.
