Ideal for Bose QC25

First impressions: I'm very glad I bought this and the price is a steal. Everything is great except the pop/wind sock which has no support and just falls off. Really a failure. Here are the pros and cons from my personal perspective in more detail. Pros (five stars for all of these): 1. The connector on my Bose QC25s fits perfectly so the boom mic stays in place and doesn't rotate at all. Five stars for this technical part and tolerance control. Since it won't fit in my headphone case without having unplugged it, I'll be plugging and unplugging it when I travel. So it remains to be seen whether this tight fit will last. Very good microphone quality. People tell me the mic sounds great. I recorded and listened to it myself and am satisfied.3. The cable used has a woven jacket and is highly flexible. The strain relief on the connectors looks good. I find they spread the voltage well over a reasonable length of cable and I don't expect them to wear out and fail in one place any time soon like most Lightning cables for iOS.4 devices do. There is a mute button on the cable. Cons (-1 star for all of these): 1. Windproof sock/pop filter falls off at the slightest provocation - this must have been an afterthought as its integration just sucks, while the rest of the tech on this product is mostly excellent. I wish it had a smaller opening so it stretches and stays there. Or at least add a little black rubber ring or glue to hold it in place. I need to find some glue and make it.2. The volume and mute controls on the cable are bulky, so it has a clip to attach to clothing.3. The volume control is an analog wheel, no digital up/down buttons. I suspect this makes it more compatible with a wide range of products compared to buttons that require a digital communication protocol that only works with specific product lines. Thanks to the analogue control that works with each product, the manufacturer does not have many SKUs, which reduces unit costs. At only $20, I can't complain about the price of this item. The mute button is a toggle, and since there's no digital signal being sent to my phone or computer, the screen doesn't show that the sound is muted. I want the dark red color on the volume button to tell me it's off - just like the red color on the vibrate button on my iPhone when it's on. 5. The markings on the volume knob and mute button are low contrast and difficult to see.6. As many have noticed, the cable is too short. A few more meters would be great. It's probably the same length as my standard Bose QC25 cable, which is pretty good.
