Electrical Engineer's Review

I would love this inverter for its small size and low price if only it lived up to the advertised specs. I bought a total of 2 inverters. Both behave the same, so I assume the issues are with the design, not the quality. Below are the pros and cons of this inverter. professionals1. Small size2. The idle power consumption with no load was <0.5A, which is good3. Voltmeters were accurate.4. The cooling fans did not turn on until the load exceeded 300W.5. The output voltage was 120 VAC with a nominal input voltage of 24 VDC. Disadvantages1. In a stable state, no more than 1300 W could be achieved, although an input voltage of 25 V+ was measured directly at the inverter. That's 1/3 less than what the manufacturer says. In comparison, I have a very cheap 1500W inverter that will deliver 1500W plus a steady load with the same configuration with no issues. More than 1800 W of pulsed power could not be provided. That's less than half of what the manufacturer claims. My fridge needs a 1900w start pulse and my 1500w inverter turns the fridge on with no problem. The front panel of the front panel is thin. When unplugging the power cord, the faceplate must be held firmly, otherwise it will bend outward > 1/8 inch. The inverter input voltage drops and the AC voltage indicates poor voltage regulation. When the voltage drops below 22.5V, the AC output voltage drops below 110VAC. yes) it only beeps for about 2 seconds. Once the alarm has been triggered, it will stop and the device will not try to restart. It's bad when your refrigerator, CPAP or other essential items break down. 7. Heat shrink tubing to protect cables supplied by supplier were loose and basically unusable 8. Needs microscope to read manual 9. Overall cheap chinese junk.
