These spreaders are just what I needed to finish my old '78 GM truck project. I usually use steel spatulas, but in some cases I need plastic to more easily conform to existing body lines when applying thin coats of spatula. I use this kit to apply finishing putty. I don't know how they will behave in thick coats as I never use more than 1/8 inch putty on repairs.
