Okay, let's get this over with. YES it smells! But is it worth sending the paper back and never buying again? no Air out a little, that's all you have to do. These designs are just amazing! I love looking at them and I'm almost ashamed to fold them! I can't wait to make such beautiful butterflies and other drawings out of it! It's a beautiful design on one side and then a vibrant solid color on the back that really complements the design when you create one that uses both sides of the paper! Good paper quality. Really the only downside is the smell and I find it just needs a bit of ventilation if that's too much for you, personally I don't mind the smell that much. Also, inside the paper, there is a small folded paper with 7 instructions origami: simple swan, star box, crane, balloon, samurai helmet and kimono. They're easy to follow and simple to fold!
