Review on AIYIMA A07 TPA3255 Power Amplifier: 300Wx2 HiFi Class D Stereo Digital Audio Amp for Passive Speaker Home Audio (A07+DC 32V Power Adapter) by Shane Miller

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Ridiculous sound quality!

This is the best sounding mini hi-fi amp I have ever heard and it doesn't even come close. The level of detail and distortion-free articulation you hear at the top end of the volume simply doesn't exist in other Class D amps. I expect the TPA3255 will become the industry standard over the next few years, displacing the TPA3116 as the benchmark for mini amps. After listening to this amp I started looking for other information and reviews about it. Suffice it to say that a big hit on YouTube is a review that empirically tests frequency response and distortion levels and finds them on par with high-quality, full-size hi-fi amps that cost hundreds or thousands of dollars more. Size, but like all these Class D amps, not as loud as the 300 watt rating would suggest. This amplifier can cover an entire floor of a small to medium sized home. I'm guessing it can fill about 1500 ft² indoors with decent speakers and play background music for a city-sized backyard party. I recommend this amp as the first building block on a desk or bookshelf. Or buy a pair along with a Dayton Audio WBA31 and speaker of your choice to set up a poor man's Sonos system for less than $200 per room with equal or better sound quality.
