Bought for a Singer 758 with a broken presser gear. The first problem was that the winder bevel gear didn't have the hole needed to install the drive plate. I reused an old gear but noticed that with every revolution the car would bind and stall. Finally I saw that the pointer on the sewing foot gear was cast into the gear teeth. I filed the index hand down so it doesn't get in the way of the counter gear, but it's still so tight the car can barely move under its own power.
