Review on Post-it WD-330-BK Pop-up Note Dispenser, Black - Ideal for 3x3 Inch Notes by Leah Jackson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not good enough, but better than the other one on Revain.

This version of the pull out note dispenser works and is still useful, but the design has changed for the worse since I last bought it about 12 years ago. My old one still works, but I wanted another one for my home office. The new version (the real subject of this review) uses a cylindrical plunger with a support spring that extends into the base to hold the square, accordion-shaped notes at the top of the dispenser ready for use. The 12 year old version featured a larger square plastic plunger over a spring with smooth raised edges on either side to prevent bills from sliding from side to side. Since the new piston is round and has no sides, accordion notes often slide out freely. Because of this serious design flaw, extra care must be taken when pulling. There is another version with a removable top that captures side-to-side movement, but the removable top does not stay on the base, causing accordion notes to explode from time to time.
