Ehh. I hooked it up to my 70cm antenna analyzer, it showed an SWR of 1.4. However, the 2m band had an SWR of about 4 VERY BAD. He had an SWR of about 1.5. Unfortunately this is at 130MHz and the lowest (pictured) around 1.1 wasn't very usable at 430MHz. He advertises an SWR of 1.5 or better and he has it on 70cm, but 2m is absolute nonsense. My personal opinion? Well I've noticed a slight increase in performance and this is a very cheap antenna. A GOOD antenna isn't much more than that, however. And while there's a slight increase in performance, it's definitely not worth the inconvenience and bulkiness of having a nearly 20-inch peg popping out of the top of your HT. If you need something cheap to test your hardware, or you have an old base station scanner, or just need something to stick on. But for real use with portable devices I would look elsewhere
