In early January my boyfriend and I bought a new sofa and two chairs. We were very happy to fill our house with furniture. When they arrived on the 27th, after setting them up and "testing" them, I began to worry. I have a cat and two dogs. They make good pets, but they've had their share of messes. The leather sofa that I moved upstairs made it easy to dry things off. It was brown too. My new sofa and chairs are ivory. Also, it's not very noticeable when cats scratch their skin unless they're going into town. My cat is doing pretty well here too. She has scratching posts and uses them. We also cut her nails. But I saw her tiny nails on the previous sofa and I didn't have them on this fabric. So many of the sofa covers I researched on Amazon were either expensive, tear easily, or had many components. I wanted something to cover my sofa that I can easily take off when I have company. This seemed to fit the bill. It was very easy to use. I did all three on my own in less than 30 minutes. This includes opening the boxes and removing the packaging. They feel good and it will calm me down. Will be updated if I find bugs. I see this cover for work on someone who has a matte sofa. But if you want to protect your new sofa, that's great because it's so easy to take it off when you want to show it off.
