Update - 08/20/2020: Two more devices failed: another bricked in "peach mode", and the second switched itself off spontaneously at night (this time the heater for my aquarium) . So now 55% of these new WeMo minis are not working properly. Big. WeMo Support eventually contacted me and asked me to try updating the firmware on the devices. I don't know how to do that when the app doesn't even see them and I can't reset them. App reinstalled. phone restarted. Nothing, because the devices themselves are bricks now. Super useless. I asked for everyone back and will go back to the old versions tonight. ----- These new Wemo Minis are garbage. STAY AWAY! The previous generation (twice as wide) was very finicky in the initial setting, but proved reliable after tuning. I bought 9 of these (three 3 packs) from belkin.com when they were first released. I had them in a couple of weeks, two of them burned out in a mode where both the white and orange LEDs are constantly on at the same time (the light looks peachy, not orange), they are unavailable in the application. or HomeKit, and they cannot be reset! One of the other Wemo Minis decided to accidentally shut down sometime during the night. It's connected to my tank's canister filter, so it's pretty bad (no filtration for more than 8 hours, no CO2 for plants this morning). Still available in App/HomeKit but I don't trust it anymore. 33% of the new devices no longer work after just a few weeks. Completely unacceptable. Also, I've already emailed support (WemoCares@belkin.com) twice as suggested by other posts on the Belkin website and it's clear Wemo isn't addressing this as none have been for over a week answer has been made. Avoid these new Wemo Minis at all costs. You randomly stop working. Buy old designs while you can - they really work.
