This is a *really* low tech feeder and I mostly only use it for 3-4 day trips to feed my turtle with reptile sticks. Although it is usually very simple and made with lousy materials and is more useful over time when the amount of feed in the trough changes, it has served me well for about 10 (!) years with infrequent use (3-5 short trips). .
