So we bought these for our bed a while ago as my wife was having trouble getting out of bed due to back pain and the extra growth from that helped. We recently bought a new mattress and it was a few inches thinner than our previous mattress so we bought another set to make up the difference. This second set had some quality control issues as shown in the photo but it seems to have been mostly cosmetic so we just put it on the back. We laid two layers as instructed, with a metal rod through them and a piece of wood in between. Everything went great at first, but after a few weeks the whole bed slid off the risers. At that time there was no one on the bed, and there were no earthquakes then. We put the bed back on the risers and tried again. This morning, while sitting in bed drinking coffee, this happened for the second time. Fast-food restaurant owners can rest easy knowing the coffee didn't burn the delicate pieces. In short, they've worked well for one elevator shift but not two, and they have variable quality control.
