The set came with all the materials but the donut bun was difficult to use on myself. I have shoulder length hair and I tangled the baseus by trying to wrap it over a large donut and then it is said to have risen slightly above my scalp. I preferred the iWensheng french bun machine, unfortunately it was easier to use. I used the smaller Mudder Donut on my eight year old girl's hair (also shoulder length) for her dance class and it was a much better experience because I could see what I was doing better. It sat on the scalp and held tight during her somersaults, twists and more.
