Attractive, but that's it. When I opened the box I couldn't find the regulator so I went to a plumbing store and paid $33 for it. (The manual doesn't say anything about using a regulator so I figured it was an oversight.) Then I installed the stove and it didn't catch fire. I then decided to call Empava, who informed me that while the oven does not require a controller, they would be happy to send one to me free of charge if I would like. The? does it make any sense After hanging up, I removed the regulator and connected the gas line directly. I was then able to ignite the burners, but they would not stay on after releasing the burner button. This is the process I used. 1. Turn the knob to activate the igniter, press the knob to release gas, the igniter will ignite the gas, release the knob and turn the knob to gas mode (from the igniter stage), and the gas flame disappears. Nothing. So I started over and this time I just kept pressing the button to trigger the gas and the flame eventually didn't ignite. I had this problem with all 5 burners. Could it be that the lines have been bled? Yes, perhaps. 15 minutes after that, the burners lit normally and stayed on, but not at 100%. Not sure if the device is bad or just how they work ie. bad. Anyway, after lighting them all, I noticed that there was no difference between all the fires. The flames are all small, so you won't find a roaring flame for a quick cook, for example. No kidding, the flame is so small you can barely see it. It's good for cooking, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're looking to save a buck. I bought it to replace a 30 year old Thermador. So for $250 you get what you pay for. I'll return it if the renters say anything about it.
