The camera is on top and mostly takes straight and upward shots. So if you place it above waist height you only get the top half of the room. Since this is a "coat hook" you must theoretically hang it at the same height as a regular coat hook. Then pick up nothing but the ceiling. If you mount it low on the wall, it's obvious. Very poor design and as mentioned the viewing angle makes it almost unusable. Only buy if you plan to mount it 4 feet or lower on a wall. Otherwise, just pick up the ceiling. Seems to work fine otherwise.
