I was about to trade in my two year old PS4 for a new PS4 Pro 1TB model. I'm really tired of having to delete games to make room for new ones. I looked at the memory upgrade and found this one, read the reviews and it was sold. Physical installation took less than five minutes. Simply remove the shiny plastic cover from the PS4 and there you have it, the hard drive. One screw and the old one comes out. Four screws for attaching the Seagate HD to and from the tray are supplied with a screw to secure them in place. The included flash drive will load your saved game data as well as start-up files, which you'll need to download from Sony's website, but detailed instructions on how to do this are included. And don't worry, the download is free! The only downside is that you now have to reinstall all your games which can take days if you have games like me that take more than 5 hours to download/update. But I did it over wifi. If you connect your PS4 directly to a modem, it might work faster. Speaking of faster loading, my games load about twice as fast with the new Firecuda HD. It's also much quieter than the stock HD. No more screeching jet engines. It gains momentum when it puts high demands on it during intense play, but it's still less obvious than the old one. And don't throw away your old HD! This kit includes an enclosure for installing a factory hard drive with a connector for use as an external hard drive. But with all my games loaded on my PS4 now, I still have over 1TB of free space!
