Review on πŸ• Blue Chef Pomodoro Dough Proofing Box - 14 x 11-Inch Household Pizza Dough Tray Kit: Fits 4-6 Dough Balls by Ruchi Wersal

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product but overpriced

I need a pizza dough proofer for a multi-day fermentation and have narrowed my choices between two products: (1) Chef Pomodoro Proofer (this product) 14"W x 11 "D x 3" H (2) DoughMate Artisan Dough Tray Set h (one tray height with lid; with two trays 7" high). I chose Chef Pomodoro for two reasons: (1) Slightly smaller size (will fit better in my fridge) (2) Hinged lid idea (hopefully airtight) After receiving and using the Chef Pomodoro Fermenter for a few weeks, am I generally satisfied: - The product is not as durable as I had hoped for domestic use, but the plastic is definitely not commercial plastic. It's polypropylene, but I'd like a thicker plastic. kt is long enough not to completely seal the other two sides. The two gaskets keep most of the air out, but latches on all four sides would be a better design. After three days of fermenting the pizza dough balls, the skin of the dough balls has dried out a bit. In the future I will definitely brush the dough balls with butter. Given the competition, I think this product should cost around $30 instead of its current price of $40. The product works well enough for my home use and I am generally satisfied.
