I ended up ordering two different sizes because my dog has a clear size difference between front and back legs. I only tested these boots on my dog indoors. The smaller size fit perfectly and stayed with my dog even while walking. The front foot fits, but pulls away from the front paws when running. I think if the boots were a little longer at the top they would certainly hold up on the front paws. These boots are well constructed; no protruding threads; high-quality Velcro; warm lining, and the pants definitely protect. In terms of comfort, my dog will wear them without trying to take them off. That amazed me and showed that they felt very comfortable. The price is great so ordering two pairs was affordable and gave me a spare pair. Contact with the seller was also excellent. It looks like they are interested in improving their product. As I was returning these boots because the front part slipped off my very active dog's front paws, I saw a review where the person used a rubber band to secure the boots. I think kids laces would work too. I hope they add length to the top of these boots.
