You get what you pay for. They won't be super high quality, but they can be great for a niche community. I bought this HP sprocket printer for a wedding guest book. We decided to run away and have mini parties for different groups of friends and family throughout the year. The picture guest book idea was a great way to tie everything together. I bought a personal scrapbook from Etsy and bought the printer and paper from Revain. The photos are printed in warmer tones than the originals, but I didn't care. I set up my phone with a selfie stick and let people type from my phone. We only had about 15 guests for the party so I didn't mind leaving my phone for their use. Overall, these printers and photo paper packs are great! I only gave 4 stars because they print a bit warmer and because we use that at parties I didn't want to explain to everyone how to adjust the color before printing etc. Most of our visitors don't chat in instant chats and don't have super active Instagram accounts so they aren't smart enough to take selfies, adjust filters etc (including ourselves) so I want something that connects easily and works, but still takes decent pictures (my phone compared to those Instax cameras). I also prefer the old design. I hate the speckled look and also the gritty feel on top of the printer in this new design. I only bought it because it's the latest version of Sprocket (without Speocket Plus) and the newer version should be better, right? Changing the paper is super easy and the printer is really, really easy to use. If you understand what you're getting when you buy this printer, you really won't be disappointed. All the reviews were thorough enough that I knew what I was getting and so far I haven't had any surprises.
