This Uniclife pump was my second purchase but it worked great. I ordered another brand and they kept getting delayed. I had never heard of the Uniclife brand before but found it to be a very good dual outlet pump. It has plenty of air at the outlet to each of its jets. The included air stones are slightly larger than regular air stones and each one releases tons of bubbles. Both check valves work great, allowing air only to the stones and preventing the water from being siphoned off when the power is turned off. The small fittings are strong enough to be installed once or twice. Also, you can break them by removing them from the tube. Place them where you want them the first time as they don't remove well after installation. This is actually good since you don't want the hose to slip off them. They fit very tightly into the end of the hose. A straight hose is used to connect one hose to another, combining two short hoses into one longer one. The T-piece is used to route a hose from one of the pump outlets and separate it for connection to two devices. Do not use this T to combine two air sources into one. Additional pressure in either source can cause pump failure. Only use this T as a splitter, not as a combiner. I highly recommend you buy some extra ports and covers to better maintain flow on your devices. Just remember not to restrict the airflow so much that the pumps can't expel air. The pumps must bleed air or their rubber parts will crack and tear under the extra pressure. Large air stones are very good for blowing lots of bubbles. All air stones will clog over time. Replace them when they begin to show a decrease in air performance. Clogged or stuck air stones are common pump killers. Now for the hose/air hose included in the kit. In fact, its length is not enough to make much more than one installation unless your two sockets are side by side and with a pump. Take another spare hose for the airliner. You will often use this in aquaristics. It's good to have a supply on hand when you need to set up buckets of fish or quarantine tanks for long periods of time. It's also good to have extra filters if you're using sponge filters, as sometimes it's easier to cut off old air hoses and fittings and then use new fittings than to try and remove them from the old fittings. The tube is cheap. Buy a lot. You will not regret it. Now for the pump itself. I don't know why some reviewers commented on the noise. The one I have is very quiet when the pumps are running. No air pump will be silent if it puts out a lot of air. Yes, if you place it within 5 feet of your ears you will hear it buzz. And over time, the pumps get louder. But I can't hear anything from that pump 10 feet from my head in my bedroom. I think a lot of these "loud" reviews didn't have air pumps before because the one I got is very quiet. If your air pump internally makes a lot of noise, you have excessive air outlet blockage due to clogs or overloaded equipment or internal parts with high vibration are worn out. Anything that blocks the air outlet for a long time will damage the pump. This applies to almost all aquarium air pumps. In addition, this pump is mounted on pointed rubber feet that prevent the pump from vibrating against the surface it is placed on and keep it in place. This pump must stand on a completely flat surface with all 4 legs touching the table it is standing on. It may shift over time if placed on a slippery or uneven table. Air is entering under the pump. This pump is about 1/8 inch from the tabletop. Therefore, do not mount this pump on any material or other surface that could in any way block the air intake under the pump. This means that there shouldn't be any towels, kitchen towels or anything else he could sink into underneath him. The last thing I want to mention is keeping this pump dry. Use the check valves provided to ensure water does not flow through the air hose into the pump. If the air intake under this pump gets wet, be sure to allow it to dry by turning off the power before attempting to use it again. Water in the lines can also block airflow. Water entering this pump can cause electric shock. It uses 120V AC. So if it gets wet inside, unplug it and don't use it until it's dry. Don't place it where it can fall into the tank. It can electrocute you or your fish if dropped into a fish tank or bucket of water. Placing the pump over the air outlet but away from the tank makes it much less likely to get wet. But I understand that most people, myself included, tend to place pumps under shelves or in closets and behind tanks. In this case, be sure to use check valves to prevent water from flowing back to the pump. Pumps that switch off in the event of a power failure without built-in check valves can flood the bottom and almost empty the aquarium. So always either mount them high or use check valves if that is not possible. They are cheap to buy separately and you only need one for each pump outlet. Sometimes it's a good idea to check that your check valves are still only allowing air to flow in one direction from the pump to the device. In summary, I have found that this dual port pump is capable of producing a lot of air on each port (with an output of 1200cc/min). . You can easily connect 2 sponge filters or a complete soil filter with two risers with backup air pressure with dual air outlet. And the pump consumes only 2 watts of electricity. As mentioned, I think the noise level is actually quiet compared to many other pumps on the market. But you should get some more air line hoses, fittings, airstones, and check valves for parts right away. Good double pump. I am very happy with it.
