This kayak carrier was a great find. So easy to attach to my roof-racks. The straps it comes with were ok for the money but not sure how well they'll stand up to time. But good enough if used occasionally. I believe you can use the blocks even without a roof rack system. I needed this because I was adding an additional kayak to my trip and didnt want to spend a lot and this was perfect. The great thing about this system is easy to install and didnt scratch my roof like the "J-hook system did.
