For any 1st generation Toyota Tacoma owner, there is a good chance that the driver's side mirror will wobble. My original driver's side mirror caused me to fail the state MD inspection due to excessive vibration on bumps in the road. I found that the 3 screws holding the folding pivot were not fully seated but also snapped off as soon as I tried to tighten them. Instead of trying to remove the broken screws I decided to buy a new mirror for an easier fix. .I installed a new TYC mirror as soon as it arrived. It appears to be well made and was very strong at the attachment points. No problem. During a test drive, the mirror immediately began to wobble at over 5 km/h. Absolutely useless. I removed the new mirror, then reinstalled my old mirror and used a cut piece of 3/8" fuel hose to route the pivot assembly between the mirror pieces. The trembling is gone. Return the mirror to TYC. Save money and time and buy something else.
