Just received this toaster.1. The cable does not go through the metal bracket on the bottom. Heat from the bottom of the toaster touching the cord can cause a fire.2. I plugged it in and turned it on on both sides. It gave off a terrible smell of burning plastic.3. I canceled both sides heating up. Then I accidentally touched the outside of the toaster. It was hot.4. Now I know why the instructions say not to put the toaster under a cupboard and unplug it after use. Other toasters do not have these warnings.5. I will not be returning it as it is obviously defective and if refilled it could burn down the house.6. I've read other reviews on here and I'm really concerned that these toasters will break so quickly. They can be flammable.
