This thing is 6 amps! Too powerful for any Nikon camera that will fit EL-14/EL-14a batteries, but hey, I love having excess power here :) If like me you're interested in photogrammetry (with multiple cameras), you can actually activate up to 50 Nikon cameras with ONE of them! Since most Nikon cameras that work with EL-14 / EL-14a batteries only draw about 0.11 amps. I just buy a bunch of these and then a bunch of EL-14/EL-14a connectors and plug them all together. All my cameras seem to be powered normally. However, at this point (powering 50 cameras from one power supply) the power supply starts to get hot, so I put mine in a case with fans to cool them (the other part in the power supply). in the photo is an Arduino block for controlling cameras). You can also add a 9VDC surge protector on the output (and before the 50 coupling connection) to add an extra precaution/protection. In the event of a power failure, none of the connected cameras will be destroyed. Anyway, they haven't disappointed me yet, so 5/5! I just think the price could be brought down by reducing the amount of performance this thing delivers. You can use a much smaller power supply to power a single camera.
