The replacement broke even faster than the first one, but I already knew what to do. Once upon a time I bought matching towel rails, so I bought another toilet paper holder. I "fixed" it by cutting off the head of a large nail and using epoxy to insert a metal (nail) support rod. (A hole has to be drilled in the hard inner cylinder to allow the nail shank to protrude.) It's a lot of work, but it will last up to 20 years at the very least if you burn yourself on this piece. I'm quite surprised it might have good reviews - or maybe not - hard to say given that Revain has confused the reviews.
