Review on Geo F Trumper Coconut Shaving by Allison Utschig

So I'm a veteran of the double-edged shave. I've improved my shave since I started two years ago. Since then I have tried many shaving creams, soaps, balms, tonics, sprays, blades and razors. While I haven't had every luxury cream on the market, believe me, I got my cut! I have to say Trumper's Coconut is in my top 3 rotations. When I shave with this cream for the first time, I deliberately avoided using preshave oil. I have sensitive skin, but the first thing that struck me was how creamy the lather was after using a 100% silvertip badger bristle shaving brush with a petrified wood handle and complimentary Parker Safety Razor brush holder, whipped cream and myself then shaved with Merkur Progress had Double Edge Safety Razor #500 + 10 free DE blades loaded with 10 Feather Razor NEW Hi-stainless Double Edge blades. After three passes, a spritz of cold water, then Thayer - Lavender Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel Toner, 12 fl oz liquid, then one application of Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort Aftershave, my skin was BUTTER smooth! Again, I didn't even need oil before shaving. As it was in a tube I think I can use it as a travel cream as I don't need oil before shaving. Seriously, my razor and blade cut through my mustache easily with this cream! And it lathers fairly well, although not as thick and fluffy as some of the Truefitt creams I've used. Maybe it's the coconut oil. I've tried most of the other two shaving creams from the three English T's (Trufitt & Hill, Taylors of Old Bond St.) and this cream is one of the best you can try for sensitive skin. The coconut oil and acid contained in this product will give you a soft and smooth complexion if you use the right shaving technique. I'm going to try Castle & Forbes next, but trust me you'll love this cream! It's not a heavy coconut scent and is also great for use in humid or hot weather as you can get away with some aftershave balm or just an alcohol-free toner afterwards. This cream belongs to the all-star team, in my humble opinion, if there was one for creams. My current shaving rotation consists of: Truefitt & Hill Ultimate Comfort Shave Cream and Pre-Shave Oil/Ultimate Comfort Balm, Truefitt & Hill 1805 Shave Cream & Balm, Trumpers Coconut Shaving Cream, Castle & Shave Cream & Shave Balm Forbes with lime (< - --- got it in the mail today), Taylor's of Old Bond St. Avocado. If you're new to double-edged wet shaving, choosing one of the products above should work for you if you have sensitive skin like me.
