This is an extremely well made mug. I would have given the mug a 5 star, but after e-mailing the company and asking the question here, I still do not have an answer. No instructions came with the mug and you had to figure out on you own how to use it. The mug came with 2 straws, one with a bend which fit perfectly inside the larger straw. The larger straw had a raised area around it which would seal the hole in the lid of the mug. Problem was the straw was a couple of inches too long for the ridge in the straw to make the seal. If you placed the smaller straw into the larger straw, when you tried to get liquid out of the mug you would get twice as mush air as liquid. I still am dumbfounded on how to use the larger straw or even what the purpose of it is. Hopefully the company will get around to answer my e-mail. I am going to keep the mug, and if I cannot get an answer about the larger straw, I am going to cut a couple of inches off the bottom so it doesn't hit the bottom of the mug. If the mug would have come with instructions, I would have given it a 5 star.
