I bought this because the D-ring that you tie to your belt is too tight for me. This extension, or "trickster" as most builders would call it, made it easy and affordable for me to buckle and unbuckle my seat belts at any point as needed. I would recommend this article for those who have the same problem. I can't honestly say how well it holds up or how reliable it is in a fall, but hopefully the patient never has to find out. I have confidence in the design and material of this product and believe it will save my life in the event of a fall.
