I had to block my 65 lb dog from the 96 inch passageway from the kitchen to the carpeted living room. These gates were a cheap and reliable option. I had to buy a gate and 2 extensions. THE GOOD: Extensions allow you to block any distance, but they're a bit more expensive, but still cheaper than other options if you need to cover a large area. The gate trap feature has a child-proof latch that is easy to operate with one hand. For what it is, this gate does the job. THE BAD: Don't choose this brand if you only need a small indoor space. There are better alternatives for the same price. At longer distances the gate wobbles a bit unless you use a support leg which you can't use (unless it's modified) unless you have a tile/carpet height difference. The assembly is a bit tedious, but solvable. The screws that come with the kit are easy to unscrew, I bought mine. I had to use a lot of silencer tape in places to avoid metal clinking. I'm not sure the plastic wall mounts will be a big hit.
